Thai Boxing - Heavy Bag - Student Type: All Levels

Heavy bag training is a conditioning and power exercise that reinforces the techniques practiced on the pads. Thai Boxing makes no secret that fitness and physical conditioning are major components of its effectiveness. This class will get you there. You will practice strikes with power and speed while at the same time working on technique - the key difference between a martial artist and a brawler in a street fight. This class is also great for people whose main interest is complete fitness - cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility.

Thai Boxing - Focus Mitts & Thai Pads - Student Type: Int/Adv

Thai pad training is a cornerstone of Muay Thai conditioning which involves practicing punches, kicks, knees, and elbow strikes with a trainer/partner wearing thick pads which cover the forearms and hands. These special pads are used to absorb the impact of the fighter’s strikes and allow the fighter to react to the attacks of the pad holder in a live manner. Combinations, instant reaction, attacking and defending, controlling the range between you and your opponent; this class allows you to practice all of these skills with power together with a moving, training partner. In addition, holding pads will get you accustomed of strikes coming at you . . . . it is a workout in itself!
